Women make up about 19 percent of chefs and just 8 percent of head chefs, and data shows they earn about a third less in base pay then men in the same roles. If diners wanted to specifically support women-run restaurants, wouldn't it be useful for them to have a list—perhaps a binder full of women—to make that easier?
